Colton Gress is the son of Chad and Jennifer Gress. He is a freshman in high school with a 3.8 GPA, who is proudly homeschooled and lives on a small family farm in Coshocton, Ohio. Growing up alongside his six siblings, Colton has learned the value of responsibility, teamwork, and hard work. He plays an active role in helping with daily farm and household chores, developing a strong work ethic and servant’s heart.

Colton enjoys spending his free time cooking and hanging out with friends. Athletics are an important part of his life, and he participates in golf, bowling, and basketball. Through sports, he continues to build discipline, perseverance, and leadership skills. He has been to state in golf and bowing for the 2025-26 school year. 

He has been actively involved in 4-H for ten years and has participated in Junior Leaders for the past three years. Above all, Colton’s strong Christian faith guides his character, decisions, and dedication to his family and community.

 

Colton’s golf accomplishments include:

  • 2nd Team All-Ohio (2025)

  • MVL Player of the Year (2025)

  • 1st Team Eastern District (2025)

  • Champion – First National Bank Junior Golf Tour (16–18 Division, 2025)

  • Player of the Year – COGA Tour (15–18 Division, 2025)

  • Champion – ZDGA Junior Championship (2025)

  • Qualified for the National Drive, Chip, and Putt (2025)

  • Scoring Average: 72.88

  • Handicap Index : +1.3

 

Colton’s love for golf goes far beyond competition and titles. He is deeply committed to refining his game, spending countless hours practicing, studying course strategy, and strengthening both his mental and physical approach to the sport. Whether on the driving range, the putting green, or playing practice rounds, he is constantly working to improve. His dedication, discipline, and passion for excellence continue to set him apart, and he looks forward to growing both as a golfer and as a competitor in the years ahead.
