Gavin Gress is the son of Chad and Jennifer Gress and lives on a small farm in Coshocton, Ohio. He is one of six children and values the strong work ethic and discipline that farm life has instilled in him. Gavin has a strong faith in Christianity, has participated in 4H for 11 years, and has been a member of Junior Leaders for 4 years. He plays golf, basketball, and bowling. He has been to state in golf and bowing for the 2025-26 school year.
Gavin was homeschooled through his freshman year of high school before transitioning into collegiate coursework. As a sophomore, he is currently pursuing his associate degree in cybersecurity at Zane State University with a GPA of 4.5. Looking ahead, Gavin plans to begin studying engineering during his senior year of high school and will graduate in 2028. He has consistently excelled both academically and athletically throughout his educational career.
Athletically, golf has been a lifelong passion. Gavin began golfing at just two years old and has developed into one of the top junior players in the Eastern District. He currently holds a 71.9 scoring average with a +2.0 handicap.
