We are excited to announce that Solomon Petrie has been accepted as an athlete for Foundation 59. He is an exceptional scholar-athlete, and we look forward to being a part of his journey as he pursues golf at the collegiate and professional level.
Solomon is currently a Junior at Archbishop Hoban High School where he plays on the 2020 state championship golf team, and also plays on the Hoban Varsity Basketball Team. He has already committed to play golf at the collegiate level for the Kentucky Wildcats Men's Golf Program. In 2020, Solomon won the AJGA Imperial Headwear Junior Classic at DuPont Country Club, and finished as Runner Up in the U.S. Kids Teen World Championship.
Consistently a top 10 finisher in junior tournaments all across the country, including a tied for 5th finish in the Hudson Junior Invitational in 2019, Solomon also volunteers with the First Tee of Greater Akron. He has been involved in the First Tee Golf Program since age 7.
Solomon's world rankings include: 106th in the Rolex AJGA Junior Rankings, 1st in the state of Ohio for his graduating class of 2022, and 238th in the world according to Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings. His future is bright as he will continue his playing career at the University of Kentucky after high school, and we look forward to being a part of Solomon's golf journey for 2021.
